We want our website to be usable by everyone, including visitors with visual or hearing impairments. Our aim is to follow the international accessibility guidelines WCAG 2.1, level AA, and to improve the website wherever needed.
The “Accessibility” button
On every page, at the bottom left, there is a round button with the accessibility symbol. From there you can choose:
- Text size: normal, large or extra large.
- High contrast: black background, white text and yellow links.
- Underline links: all links are shown underlined.
- Readable font: a simple sans-serif font with wider line spacing.
- No motion: image slideshows and moving elements stop.
Your choices are stored only on your device and apply on all pages. The “Reset” button returns everything to its original state.
For people with visual impairments
- You can move around the whole website using only the keyboard (Tab and Enter). The element you are on is shown with a gold outline.
- At the top of every page there is a “Skip to content” link, so that you do not have to go through the menu every time.
- Pages have headings in the correct order and images have descriptions, so that they are read correctly by screen readers.
For people with hearing impairments
- Most of our videos have subtitles within the picture.
- When an article includes a video, the same topic is also covered in writing in the article.
- You can contact us without using the telephone, by e-mail at ath@koronakislaw.gr or through the contact form. We reply in writing.
What we do not fully check
- Videos and posts from YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook load from those platforms. Their accessibility depends on the platforms themselves.
- Some older articles may not have been fully checked.
- The website has not yet been audited by an independent body. We check it ourselves and fix it wherever we find a problem.
